Kaiser Permanente Kids' Duathlon

The third annual Kaiser Permanente Kids' Duathlon will be held on July 19, 2008 in conjunction with Eppie’s Great Race. This event’s primary goal is to show youths that healthy outdoor activities are a fun, exciting, and rewarding way to improve fitness. It is open to anyone under the age of 18. The duathlon consists of two events: a 2.5-mile run and a 6-mile bike trek along the scenic American River Parkway. All participants receive a ribbon and a special T-shirt, and the top finishers receive an additional reward.
