Physicians, staff, and family members from Kaiser Permanente’s Elk Grove Medical Offices demonstrate the benefits of line dancing while walking alongside the Kaiser Permanente float in the 50th annual Western Festival parade in Elk Grove.

Kaiser Permanente sponsors the annual Run 4 Independence, a fund-raiser 5K and 10K run and Kids Fun Run benefiting the Elk Grove Community Food Bank Services. It takes place each year on the Fourth of July at the Elk Grove Regional Park.

The Nutrition Fuels Fitness 5K/10K & Family Festival is an annual event each March in Elk Grove that promotes healthy lifestyles through exercise and fun. There also is a half-mile Kids' Fun Run. This is a great event to learn about health and nutrition while having fun by partaking in fitness activities, music, and games offered at the festival. Participants receive a free T-shirt and a complimentary breakfast. Proceeds are used to fund childhood obesity prevention programs to educate people about how improving their health now can prevent problems later in life.
